STOP COMPARING; YOU ARE LIFE ITSELF!

You are unique; your journey is wholly original. We may all be expressions of the very same ocean of consciousness, but at the same time, we are all unique expressions of that very ocean, totally unique in our wave-ness! Don’t compare yourself with anyone else!

When you start comparing, you devalue your own unique, irreplaceable gifts, talents and truths and disconnect from your unique present experience. Don’t compare this moment with any image of how it could, should, or might have been. Healing is possible when you say YES to where you are now, even if it’s not where you dreamed you would be ‘by now’.

Trust, and trust sometimes that you cannot trust. Perhaps even your inability to trust can be trusted here, and even the feeling that you cannot hold the moment, is itself already being held…

Failure

I hear this word quite often, particularly in the corporate world it seems trendy to name one’s „failures“ and learn from them.

I don’t agree at all. Please don’t use this word. It simply doesn’t exists. It’s used to blame people (or oneself!), that’s all. There is no such thing as failure. Maybe you did something not the way expected, you forgot something, interpreted in a different way or didn’t meet a timeline. And this is what it is. There are reasons for it, you didn’t „fail“.

Same for relationships. Did I do or say anything inappropriate? Yes. Did I fail? No!

And on the mat? There’s no failure in your yoga practice either. You can’t do a posture although you’re working on it for a long time? So it is. No failure, you’re just not there yet. You fell off your headstand while demonstrating it? So you fell, no failure. Honestly, this is an example of rather the contrary. Your student can live experience that there’s no issue to fall, you can explain about it and tell why you fell that moment.

Be true to yourself and name things as they are, instead of putting a destructive label on them.

Failure is such a harsh word, even if you only tell it to yourself, your entire body, each and every cell is listening. Your whole body mind filled up with the strong negative energy of this simple word.

Treat yourself and your body properly, also with the words you choose. „Failure“ is a word that should leave you. Once and forever.

SAT NAM

Sat nam – truth is your identity.

Let yourself be touched by your own truth. What is your truth? Who are you? Dig into the deepest level and discover yourself.

Sometimes we meet people that are able to see our truth. Great souls won’t hesitate to tell us what they see and maybe even more, how it makes them feel. They will confront you with your truth, which can feel slightly odd, it might make you feel kind of naked, but it’s the purest form of love. Acknowledging the other person as what he or she is.

Sat nam. The phrase sat nam is used particularly in Kundalini Yoga as a greeting to acknowledge the truth in each one of us. Does it seem superficial when using it as a greeting? I’m not a Kundalini practitioner, but feel touched by the beauty in its approach!

While on your mat, no matter what style you’re practicing or during your meditation, use it as your personal mantra to express or tune into your infinite identity.

Sat nam – truth is my identity.

Prasarita padottanasana

Prasarita padottanasana (D) – stability, productivity and self-acceptance.
Think big, think scalable. Start inside. You are the true source of the cozy security you long for. Be secure in yourself rather then searching for security outside. Turn your energy inward, get grounded in all of your bodies, the physical, emotional, and spiritual one, so you are able to embrace life and live your truth.
Think beautiful, fertile abundance.

The Truth

Think outside the box. What’s right, what’s wrong? Many of us think that they know exactly. We were educated to establish certain values; we learned the rules and we were told on how to behave. All teachers we had and still have are telling us the right way. Be aware, it’s only what they have been taught and/or what they believe in!

I’d like to encourage you to question everything. What a teacher tells you, what’s written in the books, what your parents, your partner or friends believe in. I’m not saying it’s wrong, but asking you to think about it. What does it mean to YOU, how does it fit into your world? Also ask yourself what do you believe in and is this really what you think or are you just repeating without any reflection? Not judging, but a healthy reflection, which is required to make up your own believes.

Think about it….. it’s worth it! And it’s well needed to find your own truth.

Am I talking about yoga? Of course! As a teacher, I tell my students how to access the postures, how to breathe, how to connect with their bodies and themselves. Am I telling the truth? Yes, from my point of view I do. It’s what I’ve learned and what I believe in. I don’t teach anything just following the books, it went through my reflection and is finally exactly what I believe in. Is it right for my students? If they don’t reflect and question, the answer is no. Everybody has to find ones’ own truth. All teachings are just a large bouquet of options, other people’s findings and their truth.

What about things that have been proved as right? Such as a certain medicine, that removes your pain? You might have experienced, that a medicine can help, but it doesn’t do each time. So is it true then? You decide.

Back to yoga. A simple physical example is the right posture. My opinion: there is no such thing as a perfect posture. What? Of course, we have pictures of super bendy yogis and descriptions from the great teachers and gurus –  extremely useful guides! While trying to master a posture, we have to take our body and its capability into consideration. When practicing regularly the body changes, it gets more flexible and stronger, poses become easier and closer to that image of perfect. Finally, it will always be YOUR variation of the posture, even if it looks pretty much like in the books. It might not, that’s absolutely fine. Each body is different.

There’s only one truth: YOURS.

Full moon ritual

Follow your calling yogi, take some minutes to pause. Bring your awareness to your forehead and release into the space behind. Go internal. Let your breath guide you and once arrived, take a seat sweet soul. Welcome to your happy place, enjoy the movie.

Have a look around, are you surprised? You’ve been here quite often, but did you ever really looked at the details? Do it now. Have you ever seen all the beautiful colors? Listen to your own sacred inner voice. It doesn’t speak up loud most of the time, sometimes it’s just a whisper, so ensure you’re still to hear it properly. Can you feel the free flowing energy? Like a soft warm wind on your skin…. Get as much as you want, it’s endless. You can easily inhale it, give it a try and observe your prana, your vigor, your life force charging!

Sweet soul, be open and receptive, everything you want is there, just take it, it’s all yours! Trust your inner movie, your vision, it’s your guidance, it’s your truth.

Release and smile yogi, you’re home. Be grateful for all your experiences and grateful for the next journey that is just unfolding in front of you.

Follow your bliss and have an exciting trip sweet soul.
